It’s always hard to talk about yourself, but when it is about your passion it seems to flow a little easier. I have always been drawn to the arts, the beauty that lies within. When I was younger I couldn’t decide what I wanted to be when I grew up. I finally decided on a degree in advertising and moved to Chicago. It was as close as I could get to the arts while still having a “real” job. I soon realized it wasn’t enough. I traveled a little and  then decided to go for it. I went back to school and completed a fantastic two year photography program. I was off and running. I have been fortunate to work for some great commercial photographers in the Grand Rapids area and my time with them was invaluable. Now, eight years into my career as a photographer, I can genuinely say it is what I am meant to do. I have been blessed with amazing clients and experiences along the way. I look at each session as an opportunity to create something beautiful….always pushing to refine my style and give a new perspective.
